JEJU ISLAND - 섭지코지 Seopjikoji

Trust me, you won't regret if you come visiting Jeju Island. This island has a lot of beautiful places that you can enjoy exploring. I have visited some of the beautiful places in the last year but still I didn't get tired to re-explore it again. This time is my third time in Jeju.

Well, the place that I visited today is Seopjikoji. It is located along the eastern borders of the country in Seogwipo City.  They said Seopjikoji derives its name from two local terms Seopji, which is the former name of the area; and Koji, which in the local language translates as a sudden bump on land.

Before getting up the hill
Didn't realize how burned I was until hours later

Yes, life is not easy but it's beautiful :)

This is the video that I took on the way go to Seopjikoji

On the open fields, there is alone building which is a church

If you are a Korean drama fever, you must remember
which drama this place was appeared.

Beautiful view of the blue ocean and rocky shore.
If you see well this picture, you will find there is a Seondol rock or
"sticking out" in English

According to legend of Seopjikoji, there was a nymph who used to bathe at Seojikoji. One day, the youngest son of the King of heaven saw the nymph and begged his father to arrange a marriage. The king promised him to do that if he waited for 100 days. But, the nymph didn't show up on the 100th day because of wild waves and gusts of wind. So, the King told his son that his dedication wasn't good enough to move heaven. In the end, the sorrowful son then became a rock, standing upright at Seopjikoji

The weather wasn't that kind. Because the day before it was raining, so it's so hot today. Guess what, I got really tan after exploring this place. Even though, I really enjoyed my last day in Jeju by visiting this place and others.

JEJU ISLAND - Tab-dong Theme Tourist Street

탑동 테마관광 거리 산책
Tab-dong Theme Tourist Street

Today was a busy day for us. We did pack our stuffs for sending them back to Seoul, because tomorrow is the last day for us to stay in Jeju Island. It was light raining outside there. We went down to the city hall for sending our stuffs by post office. It's annoying when you have a lot of stuffs with you during your trip. So, in order to reduce those annoying things, we decided to send them before going back to Seoul.

After finishing all the things, we went to a nearby Tom and Toms Coffee shop. We ordered a cup of Americano coffee and chocolate butter buffer. It cost not that much. During 2 hours we spent our time in the coffee shop, and then we passed by Burger King to order a set of Burger and headed to Tab-dong Theme Tourist street.

You are not only walking up the hill to see the view around the mount,
but you can also enjoy horse-riding when you got to the peak.
It'll cost you 5000 won

If you have watched Daejanggeum (Jewel in the Palace), I believe you might see this cave in the scene. In episode 54, Jang-geum finds a woman in labor inside the cave. She performs an operation that saves both the woman and her child. Jinjigul Cave is actually man-made. Aiming to use Jeju Island as an advance base to protect its mainland, the Japanese military excavated Jinjigul Cave in early 1945. An exhibition showing military equipment and everyday articles used by the Japanese military has recently been opened in the cave, and it is becoming a popular tourist attraction. I tried to go inside, but honestly it was quite scary. I have no idea exactly why? But yeah, it was dark, cold, SCARY!!!

The Mountain actually has 17 caves,
but I didn't capture all of them together

JEJU ISLAND - Do Du Bong Park

Do Du Bong Park

제주도의 머리 도두봉공원
It's raining raining!!!
The outside view from my window
It starts raining in Jeju Island

After lunch, we prepared going to City hall of Jeju Island by a Taxi for getting an mp3 player. We saw the weatherboard-cast apps on my Iphone said that it's gonna rain, but we just didn't wanna bring an umbrella with us. Luckily when we got to the city hall, it wasn't that much raining. We first went to Hi Mart and got an mp3, and then we went to Tom and Tom’s coffee shop. After we entered to the coffee shop, it started raining when we were about to drink Americano Coffee and Ice Lemon Tea.

I felt good when it's raining and myself having my favorite coffee while talking with my BF. We were there for almost 3 hours talking, enjoying the day, and waiting for my BF's friend Mr. Lee to pick us up looking around Jeju City. So, here I found the one of the best places around Jeju City, where from that park we can see the whole city.

See how beautiful the view is ^^

The nice view of the Jeju City, Jeju International Airport, and Halla Mountain after raining from here Do du Bong Park. People called the park as the head of Jeju, because it just located near the Jeju International Airport where people from all over the world step their foot for their first when they come to visit Jeju.

It was my first time to see the rainbow in South Korea. It appeared on the sky after raining, and it just looked like painting in my eyes.
