Today we went to Songak-san or Mt. Songak by bus from Jeju
Bus terminal. We got ticket for 3000 won per person. When we reached at
Moseulpo bus stop, we took a taxi and it cost us 5000 won going to Songaksan.

You
are not only walking up the hill to see the view around the mount,
but
you can also enjoy horse-riding when you got to the peak.

If you have watched Daejanggeum (Jewel in the
Palace), I believe you might see this cave in the scene. In episode 54,
Jang-geum finds a woman in labor inside the cave. She performs an operation
that saves both the woman and her child. Jinjigul Cave is actually man-made.
Aiming to use Jeju Island as an advance base to protect its mainland, the
Japanese military excavated Jinjigul Cave in early 1945. An exhibition showing
military equipment and everyday articles used by the Japanese military has
recently been opened in the cave, and it is becoming a popular tourist
attraction. I tried to go inside, but honestly it was quite scary. I have no idea exactly why? But yeah, it was dark, cold, SCARY!!!

The
Mountain actually has 17 caves,
but I didn't capture all of them together |
